As usual, the liberal left is obsessed with race, granting them license to mentally abuse the adopted.
It is not a surprise that the liberal left would take issue with Amy Corey Barret, and relate to the adoption of her children cynically.
An article in Ms. Magazine, which I hate to post really, unapologetically supports Ibram Z Kendi’s cruel rumor that he floated during the Supreme Court nomination process, itself a form of mental abuse against the adopted. (See his tweet in the article below.)
Let’s look behind the curtain a little. The culture of individualist liberal feminism has been nurtured on the concept that even healthy children interfere with a woman’s life, let alone a handicapped one, and here ACB lovingly adopted two and cherishes her youngest son, who has Down’s, and yet she is a lawyer, professor, judge, and now SCJ.
The culture of individualist liberal feminism cannot relate to unconditional love. It cannot relate to putting others’ needs first. It cannot relate to cherishing the handicapped with the love of a parent, because they do not experience the joy of unconditional love for anything that may get in their way.
Individualist liberal feminism does not promote unconditional love even for an able bodied and successful husband - he better tow the line! How in the world are they going to comprehend the love of God and humanity that inspires adoption, that inspires cherishing the handicapped.
The “happy go lucky” comment about her kids is in fact a derisive one. You need to understand the mentality of individualist liberal feminism and modern liberalism to grasp this - liberals want you to be bitter, turning you into fighters for a cause - whether female, minority, or LGBTQ, liberals today scorn those who are happy because the happiness that is found in a secure and loving family is not only foreign to them, but will block efforts at social revolutions powered by bitterness.
Why do I say individualist liberal feminism and not "feminism"? Because feminism ought to be a term used for the betterment of women in broad terms. The term feminism has been co -opted by leftists who decidedly do not promote a holistic view of what is good for women.
So sentiments of scorn for Judge Barret’s lovely family make perfect sense - from the tragic, bitter point of view of individualist liberal feminism.
